OU: Some say this is a soundboard or FM recording but I actually think it is just an excellent audience recording. The audience are too “up front” in the mix and there is too much chatter for it to be a proper FM show. You can hear someone announce the band and venue at the end of track four but I think this was probably the taper himself doing this, at least it does not sound like a professional station ident. If this was broadcast on a Brighton station then I am going to say it was probably a community radio station such as a hospital or college since the overall mix does not seem very professional. Regardless this sounds better than your average audience recording and this is in my opinion the best recording of the European leg of the Sing Blue Silver Tour.

The site also mentions that the setlist changed for the duration of the tour AFTER this show., and I quote: "Notes: This is a good soundboard recording of the second of two concerts in Brighton, UK. A must-to-own show: the performance is very good, and the tracklist is different from the usual one: "New Religion" and "The Chauffeur" are missing; "My Own Way" and "Of Crime And Passion" are performed in the same places that they had during the australian tour; this is the last show that presents this kind of setlist: from December 18th, the first of five Wembley shows, the guys performed the songs in the same order than the setlists of the USA 84 tour (where the most known bootlegs of that era - Oakland and Madison Square Garden - were recorded)."
However, near the end of track 4, on disc two, you hear an announcer say "Duran Duran, Live at the Brighton Centre", which makes me think this was recorded for FM radio.
I think that the analog cassette generation must've been somewhat high. It's not a perfect "10" for ratings, but I'd give it a "7 or 8".
Tau Analyzer test revealed no lossy (i.e. .mp3) lineage.
